The language of instruction at Novia is Swedish, as the school is focused on Finnish-Swedish students. Furthermore, many patients and staff members at the Vasa Central Hospital have Swedish as their mother tongue. 

However, we have also an English degree program in nursing, where everything is taught in English.

INFORMATION FOR EXCHANGE STUDENTS

APPLYING TO NOVIA

The deadline for applications for student exchanges to Novia is 1 May for the autumn term and 1 November for the spring term. The deadline for applications for nursing students wishing to have a practice placement is 15 March for the autumn term and 15 October for the spring term.

Please send your application form to the International Coordinator in Vasa if you plan to study at the campus in Vasa, Jakobstad or Nykarleby. The application forms will then be passed on to the appropriate degree programmes.
