The Department of Health Care, Mikkeli offers education in nursing, public health nursing and physiotherapy. At the moment, it is situated at the Campus of Social Work and Health Care. In June 2010 the whole campus will be moving to the Main Campus. The Department of Health Care will have new premises (the third floor) in the D-building.
All the courses are offered in Finnish, but clinical courses and a couple of theory courses can be conducted in English.
If you want to make an exchange to Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences you need to do the following procedure:
-Contact the international coordinator of the nursing department of your home university and fill in a Learning Agreement form.
- The international coordinator of your home univeristy will contact the international coordinator of Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences (meri.pihlajavaara@mamk.fi) to inquire about clinical placement (note that a student might not get the clinical placement he or she wants, the student should always have an option B).
-If the clinical placement can be arranged, please fill in the following forms, print out and send to the office of International Services at Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences

- Learning Agreement form
- Official transcript of records
